Support the Fringe
Despite the fantastic support we get from funds, sponsors and subsidies and of course all the knowledge and connections the Fringe Society shares with us, we can't organize the Amsterdam Fringe Festival without extra support.
In order to keep organizing the AFF, to rain the artists, to offer them a stage an of course continue sending them all over the world we need more than creativity, energy and a strong believe in the independent artists, we need money. Because the income from ticket sales goes to the artists we are dependent of public and private funds and sponsors, and now we ask you too for a contribution.
Fringe is more than just a festival
In the run up towards the festival the Fringe artists are invited to workshops (How2Fringe) about Cultural Entrepreneurship. We teach them, together with guest speakers, how to be an entrepreneur, how to promote your show in a creative and effective way and we give them tips & tricks about networking and acquisition. We also would like to cooperate more with more theaters in the Netherlands in order to get more Fringe shows booked after the festival. We'll also continue our relationship with other Fringe festivals across the globe like those in New York, Grahamstown (SA), Hollywood, Brighton, Prague, Perth and Adelaide to exchange talented performances.
